I've walked through fire and ice with thee,
Beloved, wilt thou walk with me?The many virtues bide in thee,
Beloved, wilt thou bide with me?The fight I fought I fought for thee,
Beloved, wilt thou fight for me?O, constant is my faith in thee,
Beloved, wilt thou bide with me?This tribute from my loins to thee,
Beloved, wilt thou lie with me?No shame if equals equal be,
Beloved, wilt thou bide with me?This tribute I accept from thee,
My love, he doth abide with me.
Thank you Dave.
Guys, you can find much information about and many pictures of Jacobites on the web.
What's interesting is how little their armament had changed -- since the Celts and Picts of the Roman era.
You can see that they still carry the small, round, Pictish shield.
And one account I read said that in battle, they discarded their tartans and fought in their shirts.
If that's true, they would have been to some degree nude from the waist down.
Like the Celts and the Picts:
There's also this very phallic monument raised to the Jacobite heroes:
An interesting group of Men.
Let's end with a reprise of Warrior Dave's wonderful poem:
