So, Wilson says, "Every time we have unprotected sex, we join the conspiracy. Every time we say nothing when Washington cuts the budget for HIV prevention, we join the conspiracy."

But what he won't say, is "Every time we refuse to talk about non-anal alternatives, we join the conspiracy."

Why not?

Because that would make him, Phill Wilson, executive director of the Black AIDS Institute, part of the conspiracy -- which he clearly is.

Here's Chuck Tarver's letter to Phill Wilson:

Hi Phill,

I'm responding to your July 18, 2005 article, "A Conspiracy of Silence." Phill, you haven't been in denial, you've been part of what's driving the epidemic.

We can't keep fucking each other up the ass and wondering why we have astronomical HIV infection rates! Every time AIDS-inc uses catch phrases like, "Every time we have unprotected sex, we join the conspiracy" and "Use a condom every-time you have sex, every-time," it reinforces the cultural notion among men who have sex with men that "sex = anal penetration."

Instead of trying to help redefine our cultural notion of sex, AIDS-inc attempts to solve the problem by covering it up with a condom.

Those of us who challenge the culture of anal sex are considered KOOKS.

I have yet to hear from you regarding my paper, Fighting the Conformity that Kills. I can point you to a group of black MSM with incredibly low HIV infection rates. Those who do not engage in anal sex. Those whom AIDS-inc and the larger gay community have attempted to render invisible.

I've worked with Chuck Tarver for five years.

Chuck's a journalist and college professor, highly educated and very intelligent.

He's also an exceptionally decent and honorable man.

And he's Black and openly gay, an African-American SGL man who cares deeply about the welfare of his community.

But Phill Wilson won't talk to him.

Here's how that works:

Under the politics of identity, I can't write to Phill Wilson because I'm a Jew, and if I wrote to him I'd be accused of being a meddling Jew trying to interfere in the affairs of the Black community.

So Chuck, who's Black and very bright and very decent and is openly gay and has years of service to his community, writes to Phill -- and Phill still won't respond.

Why not?

We know it's not race, because Chuck's Black too.

And we know it's not sexual orientation, cause Chuck, like Phill, is openly gay.

So the only possible answer is -- ANAL.

It's the anal.

And that Phill Wilson is an analist skank who puts protecting anal penetration and promiscuity ahead of saving the lives of Black gay men.

Cause if Phill Wilson REALLY wanted to bring down that Black gay HIV prevalence rate, he'd talk about Frot.

The one *sure* way we know to reduce MSM HIV prevalence.

As Chuck says: "I can point you to a group of black MSM with incredibly low HIV infection rates. Those who do not engage in anal sex. Those whom AIDS-inc and the larger gay community have attempted to render invisible."

Truth is, Phill Wilson is a traitor to his race and his sexual orientation.

He talks about rates of HIV prevalence in Africa and points out, correctly, that at 46%, HIV prevalence is higher among American Black MSM than it is in southern Africa, in Swaziland and Botswana and South Africa itself.

46%.

If you're a Black gay man who sleeps exclusively with other Black gay men -- as many do -- that means you have about one chance in two that your partner will be poz.

If you do anal every time, every time -- and use a condom every time, every time -- which few men do -- you're faced with another statistic: a condom failure rate of 20% over a year's time.

So half the guys you're sleepin with are poz, and there's at least a 20% chance that the condom, if you use one, will fail.

Except that 20% figure comes from a study of vaginal sex, which is gentler on the condom.

It's logical to assume that anal penetration, which involves far more trauma, leads to condom failure far more often -- maybe 40% of the time.

Given those odds -- a 50-50 chance that your partner is poz, a 40-60 chance that a condom, if you use one, will fail -- how long can you expect to remain negative?

Not very.

How much higher does that Black MSM rate need to go before a Black MSM "leader" like Phill will start talking about Frot?

56%?

66%?

76, 86, 96%?

When every Black gay man in America has HIV, will Phill finally talk about giving up anal?

Based on past behavior, there's no reason to think he'd ever do it.

I repeat:

Phill Wilson is a traitor to his race, and to Black gay and SGL men.

His only loyalty is to an act: anal penetration.

And that loyalty has made him, in his own phrase, "complicit in our own genocide."

Simple question about Wilson's tenure at the Black AIDS Institute:

Under Phill Wilson's leadership, has HIV prevalence among Black MSM gone up or down?

Answer: It's gone way up.

Conclusion: Phill Wilson's loyalty to anal has made him complicit in genocide, and he should be removed immediately from his post at Black AIDS.

Are there Black gay men who aren't complicit in that genocide?

YES.

Chuck Tarver and a host of other African-American men are healthy and HIV free.

But under Phill Wilson, the Black AIDS Institute has made those healthy AIDS-free Black men invisible.

I repeat: Phill Wilson is an analist skank.

And what's needed, not just in the Black gay community but throughout the MSM world, is for guys like Wilson to be removed -- immediately -- from positions of influence and power.

Because this isn't restricted to the Black community.

That same survey found a 21% HIV prevalence rate among white MSM.

That's a level of infection on a par with some of the poorest countries in the world -- among some of the richest men on earth.

Like Chuck says:
