I just wanted to give a shout out to you guys and thank you for all the helpful information on your sites.

Ray, you're very welcome, and thank you for taking the time to let us know.

Ray, one way to think of the Alliance is that we're a social ministry, and reaching out to and helping guys like yourself is what we do.

I've been feeling down for quite a while now due to the fact that I am a single 39yr old gay black male living in what is most spoke of as the gayest city in the US (San Francisco) and feeling like I don't belong.

Ray -- I hear you.

I used to live in SF, Ray, with my late lover, Brett.

And it was a great place if you were a couple.

But after he died, I learned very quickly that it was buttfuck central and not at all friendly.

Some of the reasons are pretty much clear to me - non club goer, drink once in a blue moon, only work socialization due to the fact that I'm a night worker and a day sleeper, which this leads me to being a night cruzer on my days off.

I understand.

I was sure that I was the only one to where I have completely turned myself off to the involvement with another person due to the fact that majority want to bang me or want me to bang them.

Yep.

That's a dominant culture at work.

And analism is a dominant culture.

It's messages are everywhere --

They're ubiquitous.

So -- since guys are told over and over again that "if it isn't anal, it isn't gay" -- it's not surprising that they expect you to do anal.

and when I try it makes me feel uncomfortable either way around.

Okay.

First of all, Ray, that you don't like anal speaks well of you.

Secondly, if you don't like it, don't do it.

It's extremely dangerous.

And there's absolutely no point to acquiring HIV or HPV or hepatitis C doing something you don't like.

So I strongly encourage you NOT to do anal.

Ever.

Do not go along to get along.

It's not worth the risk.

Unfortunately, we have a number of stories on this board from men who got infected with HIV and other pathogens, including hepatitis C -- doing something they didn't even like.

So it's really important that you resist the pressure and coercion to do anal.

That pressure and coercion, Ray, is not imaginary.

One study in the UK found that one-third of gay-identified men had been date-raped -- forced to do anal when they didn't want to.

So it's very important -- literally for your physical survival -- that you learn to resist and say NO to that culture.

Men who refuse to do anal.

And for every guy like Ray who takes the time to write -- there are literally thousands who use the sites - but don't write or otherwise reveal themselves.

Our sites are a lifeline for these Men.

Without our sites, they would soon drown in that analist sea of raunch, sleaze, promiscuity, effeminacy, and shit sex pain sex disease sex death sex.

Analism.

Yet we're barely surviving.

Isn't it time you helped Ray?

And not letting anyone shout you down.

If you're a lurker on the site -- which is what most people are -- isn't it time you came out --

came out into the clear clean bright light of Manliness and Manhood and Masculinity?

Isn't that where you want to be?

And isn't that how you want to live?

As a Man.

Not as a gay, not as a straight, not as something in between, but a MAN.

A Man.

A Man who's Free to be a Man, to Live as a Man and Love as a Man.

Make that your reality, and make it a reality for Ray and all the Men like him.

Can anyone say the same of anal?

Of course not.

That's why the buttboys don't even try.

Instead they censor.

Viktor is putting forth some very basic truths:

Can I also welcome our new Warrior Ray? And say a BIG Amen! to all you say.

Frot is Manly Healthy and Holy and truth rebounds down the centuries from the Bible 1John 4 v 21 "And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also." So can there be anything for a believer that can help him to love his God than to have in his life the true love of another man, that "Man in Eros" we all seek and I hope you find.
