Of Gods, Warriors, and Monsters
Of Gods, Warriors, and Monsters
7-3-11
A few nights back I watched a film called "Gods and Monsters." It was about two men and their relationship, one was "homosexual" (it was set in the 1950's so "gay" was not used) and the other was his "straight" gardener and they became friends.
It got me thinking about Man2Man relationships and how according to the ancient Greeks gods had relationships with men that included making love -- for example Zeus with Ganymedes and Apollo with Hyakinthos -- and definitely between Warriors. With no idea that such things could or should be shameful, in fact they were approved of and even encouraged.
And the "Monsters"? Well, what is a monster? "An inhumanly cruel or wicked person" is one definition I found in my dictionary. So someone who acts in an inhumane or cruel way can be called a monster, and if getting someone to do something that is harmful to them, either physically, emotionally or spiritually then this is acting against humanity and is surely inhumane, and if a man is forced, that is pressured into doing what he really does not want to then the ones doing the pressuring are being cruel; and since we often find analists behaving like this then they deserve the tag MONSTER.
Mind if they are willing to fight, the WARRIORS can slay (defeat) the monsters, especially with the gods (or in our case the Warrior God) helping and strengthening them.

Thank you Warrior Man Brian.
An excellent analysis!
Let's replay that:
IF they are willing to FIGHT
the WARRIORS can defeat the monsters
especially if the Warriors call upon the WARRIOR GOD to help and strengthen them.
But --
if they're not willing to fight,
the Warrior God will abandon them,
and the monsters will slay the would-be warriors.
And that's what's happening right now.
The Warrior God won't help wusses.
The Warrior God will only help those Men who call upon Him for help and who show Him, by their actions, that they are indeed Warriors.
So -- we have a bunch of putative males who visit this site.
They claim to be either against anal and thus analism;
or straight-identified and thus against heterosexism.
But they won't Fight against the analists or the heterosexists.
And they won't lift a finger to help those who are Fighting.
Instead, they lurk.
They hide behind internet pseudonyms -- and they lurk.
They seem to think that will protect them.
It won't.
The monsters will find them, and the monsters will slay them.
Monsters like lurkers.
Lurkers are passive.
And passive prey is best.
There's no danger that a monster will get hurt taking out passive prey.
Whereas -- going after someone who FIGHTS BACK -- is risky.
It's dangerous.
Dangerous for the monster.
The monster can get hurt -- maybe even killed -- by someone who Fights back.
The monster knows that.
So the monster avoids Fighters.
And looks for lurkers.
On whom he can prey.
Monsters are predators -- they predate.
That's what they do.
The monsters of analism have killed 600,000 males in the US alone.
The monsters of heterosexism have killed -- in the sense of destroyed -- the lives of literally billions of males worldwide.
So -- you can be a Fighter -- or you can be prey.
You can be a Warrior -- or you can be prey.
Warrior NW has said that in every Fight there's a winner and a loser.
And technically that's right.
Of course sometimes a Fight is judged a draw.
But usually someone wins and someone loses.
However, NW has also said that it takes tremendous Courage to get in the cage and Fight.
And that's without question true.
And in that sense, every Fighter is a Winner.
Every Warrior is a Winner.
If they are willing to Fight, the WARRIORS can slay (defeat) the monsters, especially with the Warrior God helping and strengthening them.
The ancients were very clear about this.
If a guy got killed in battle, how did he get killed?
Were his wounds in the front or in the back?
If in front, he'd died honorably and indeed gloriously.
The great Roman historian Tacitus records that one of the emperors sent his goons to kill a political enemy.
And that the guy, although unarmed, fought them, and fell -- "wounded in front."
That's praise.
Many of the emperors' victims killed themselves, in the hope that by killing themselves, they'd persuade the emperor to leave their families alone.
Tacitus recognized that this was good for the emperors, but ruinous for the Roman people.
The emperors were monsters -- monsters who constantly sought -- and found -- passive victims.
They feared Fighters.
And with reason.
Fact:
Until you guys become Fighters -- the monsters will not only not fear you -- but they'll kill you.
Whenever, wherever, and however -- they can.
But, if you will Fight -- as you can read in Warrior Man Brian's many posts -- and in Warrior Mike's most recent post, Fight the Fight Now! Part II: Warrior Kosmos -- Militant Manhood --
You'll flourish.
The monsters will be vanquished, and, eventually --
they'll disappear.

The masculinity of men flows from their group. Their natural masculinity combines and gets manifold when masculine men unite. The camaraderie, mutual understanding, support, learning the ways of the world as a male, fighting together, dealing with roughs and toughs of life together -- they all help to develop the natural masculinity that exists within them.
They had many words for struggle and combat and fighting and strife -- maches, eris, hamilla, agon, polemos, ares -- and athlos, the word from which we derive our word "athlete."
In Greece, athletai could be rivals on the playing field or the battlefield.
