Fighting is good.

The really cool thing about this pic
is the fact that these young (VERY NORMAL) males are grinning at each other.
They're going to fight to real submission in a few minutes and they also know deep in their minds and hearts that they will be good friends after the battle. Real men always work it out and never carry a grudge.
Fighting is good.

Thanks Naked guy.
Naked Wrestler is the author of aggression and the beauty of guys, among many other essays and articles.
And guys, I just finished putting up a bunch more webpages, including Naked Wrestler's
MANPHOBIA -- Fired for being into UFC, which includes great replies from Robert Loring and Greg Milliken;
Robert Loring's Jesus and the Truth;
honor and integrity; and
too male -- which is richly illustrated -- as is MANPHOBIA.
And there's a bunch more, which you can access via Warriors Speak VI.
Ck em out.
Now, regarding what NW said:

NW characterizes these guys as "young (VERY NORMAL) males" and "real men."
So we can think of them as men who are in possession of their natural masculinity.
Remember that my foreign friend said to me that "fighting spirit is the hallmark of masculinity."
While the Naked guy has said:
It's not what makes your dick hard
That makes you a man
It's your willingness to fight.
So masculinity is not determined by so-called sexual orientation; masculinity is rather defined by aggressiveness and other biologically-mandated male behaviors.
Such as male bonding.
Which is actually WARRIOR bonding.
And this ties in with Rm's post male identity, where he talks about boys growing up among other boys in all-male spaces and with that natural male rough and tumble.
Which is so important to the development of natural masculinity.
Boys need the company of boys.
Men need the company of men.
Fight schools provide that.
And there's a process too whereby males will seek out that male space, that male environment.
What happens if they're deprived of that?
I've just had a letter from my foreign friend about that, and here are a few excerpts -- I'll post the whole letter a bit later:
Masculine male groups and bonds play an extremely important role in the development of physical, mental, emotional and social aspects of natural masculinity. As such they are an important part of the positive environment that all masculine identified boys should have. An otherwise masculine identified man who is deprived of membership in a masculine male group / bond during his growing years will be less than 1/4th naturally masculine than if he had such an opportunity. Masculine identified boys have a natural tendency to seek to join male-only groups, and it's their natural right.
The masculinity of men flows from their group. It's like their natural masculinity combines and gets manifold when masculine identified men unite. The camaraderie, mutual understanding, support, playing together, learning the ways of the world as a male, dealing with roughs and toughs of life together --- they all help to develop the natural masculinity that exists within him.
"the natural masculinity that exists within"
Most fighters are possessed of that natural masculinity, and that's why they can be friends, or even more, both before and after the fight.
Like the Naked dude says,
Fighting is Man.
Fighting is Good.
